Bwana Asifiiwe!! (Swahili for “Praise the Lord!”)
While we were driving, Joseph pulled over and pointed to a lake in a field. He told us about a magician who lived by that lake and used witchcraft to walk, and ride his bike on top of the water. He said since then, the Christians had taken over the land, and was now public property. We were all really intrigued and went to look at the lake.
As we were walking back to the car we saw a crippled man; we prayed for him and asked him if he wanted to ask Jesus into his heart. While we were still praying for him, four men from the local village walked up to us. One of the men said that he didn’t believe that the man could be healed because he had been crippled for such a long time. Carrie asked him a series of questions like “Do you believe that God created the earth, created man out of dust, and formed this man?” the man answered yes to all these, and then she asked “do you believe that God is bigger than this leg, and is able to heal it?” The man just answered “ok.” So we asked them to all pray with us, in Jesus name, for this mans healing.
After speaking with the man for a bit, I got to lead the man to the Lord right there in front of the other men. That is the first time I have ever led someone to the Lord one on one!
Later that evening Joseph told us that the 4 men that had come over and talked with us at the lake, were actually witch doctors. They were asking us what we were doing praying on that land. But Joseph said that when we all prayed for Ibraham, the men were praying in Jesus Christ’s name! Joseph said he was so shocked that he stopped praying to listen to what they were saying. We all got really excited knowing that we had brought the power of Jesus to that place, and in those witch doctors lives. We are going back hopefully Monday to heal him.
After that we got to chase monkeys around for about 2 hours.
The following day began with Joseph telling us that Helen, a woman we had prayed for the day before, had come running to his house to tell him that she was completely healed!
We got to teach at two schools, in which many kids got healed of malaria, bad knees and many other things. They all pick up on the hygiene training quickly, and it is easy to see the impact we are making.
Saturday we went to the spring, and got to paint it!! It is almost completely done, and looks awesome!! After sharing the Lord‘s love with two girls who were Muslim, they converted and gave their hearts to the Lord. Afterward both of them said that they felt different, and happier! We finished up at the spring and headed to the well. There we taught hygiene to some mama’s and kids. After we finished, one mama gave her heart to the Lord and a girl got healed from a stomachache.
In between all these amazing testimonies has been a time full of laughter, prayer, worship and abundant joy. God is always faithful and is showing us more about His love everyday!! His power is manifesting in our lives everyday stronger than the last. Thank you all for your prayers, and please continue to pray for our health and obedience to His Word.
In the one who is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than all
we could ask or imagine,

Sunday morning Jon, Carrie and I ministered at the ZAO churches, but we began to see the miraculous long before we got to the church. Joseph was supposed to drive us to church but called us saying that he was sick and couldn’t. We responded to his call by going to pray for him, he was totally healed!
But that was actually the second healing of the day.
Just before Joseph’s healing his wife Rachel was healed of a pain in her eye. We still got to the church in time for worship and for all of us to have a chance to speak. We spoke about Colossians 1:27 “Christ in you the hope of glory!” and how we had seen healing power in our lives. We then told them how they also have healing power because Christ is in them. We then backed up what we had preached; a man was healed from fever and a woman with an earache healed, along with about eight more healings. We also got to pray with a few people who had sick friends or family at home.
It was a very fruitful morning, by the time we left we had people thanking us and asking when we were going to come back. The presence of God was already pouring out of that church when we got there but it was awesome, as we stepped out in faith and as their faith increased, to see glory of God invade.
In Christ,

Greetings from Kenya!
Life here is quite different, but nothing short of amazing.
Day 6
Today we taught our first hygiene lesson of the trip to a group of ladies who live in a compound next to the well our team is digging. The lesson went well and we had a time of healing ministry afterward. A lady with chest pain was healed, as well as a lady with stomach pain and another with back pain. Several women had similar symptoms involving dizziness and headaches. We had a word of knowledge that it was an assignment of witchcraft on that particular area. So we canceled the plans of the enemy and released healing for the whole area.
Day 7
Today we taught hygiene at a school. Before entering the classrooms we met the administrative staff. One teacher was inquiring about our denomination, ages and current schooling. We told him we attended MorningStar University, a school of ministry, and that we were born-again Christians. He immediately said “Before you return to America I would like to become born again.” Carrie stepped up to the plate and introduced the man to the Lord!
We taught two classes, Carrie and Erin taught the older students while Kelsey and I taught the younger ages. A young boy was healed of a stomachache and an entire classroom dedicated and rededicated their lives to the Lord!!
Later on we met an elderly lady who was severely impaired by joint stiffness. We healed her and she began bending and twisting in ways she could not do before.
Things are beginning to pick up, and each day seems to top the next!
I love Kenya.
Continue to pray for our team!

Ello Ello,
So, I like Kenya. A lot.
So far we have done 5 days work on a spring and a well – rotating who works where each day. I spent Monday and Tuesday at the well with some locals. The majority of the time was spent at the bottom of the well with Pastor James (a zao team engineer) lining the inside of the wall with bricks. We hope to finish on Friday. The spring is also going well, after fixing a small problem yesterday we have made great progress! We also hope to finish this first spring on Friday.
Anyway, story time.
For us guys, most of the time is spent on manual labor. However, God is awesome and has dropped some opportunities right in front of us! Today at the spring, Nathan and I were moving sand to make mortar when a local man came over to help us. He proceeded to carry a heavy bucket of sand with just his right hand, because his left hand was crippled. Upon noticing this I saw an obvious opportunity and seized it. I called over Ledmonton (a pastor that speaks English) and asked him to translate for us. We soon found out that the man had been cut (I think by a machete) and had a scar running round most of his wrist. His fingers were curled up and unable to move due to the operation to save his hand. We prayed for him and asked if there had been any change. He could now move one of his fingers a little bit.
SO…we prayed again.
After this he moved the other three formerly immovable fingers and quickly asked us how to accept Jesus into his life. He said that he wanted to change his life and proceeded to give me the drugs he had been sniffing. I then prayed with him to receive the Lord and prayed for his deliverance from addiction. He no longer wanted the drugs and emptied them onto the ground!
Later this afternoon the Lord presented us with another opportunity. An elderly man who was almost completely blind and deaf turned up at the spring. Much to the amusement of many others at the spring I asked if we could pray for him. Nathan and I prayed for him three times. After the first two times there was no difference, but after we prayed for his worst eye specifically (which Nathan suggested we do), he received restoration to his sight and started to be able to read the numbers on his watch!
Happy days, things are building and we are excited to see what tomorrow brings.
Asante Sana (Swahili for “Thank you, very much”) for your prayers,
Jon

Jambo From Kenya 2!
Its been a week since we left the states, and all are loving life in Kehancha, Kenya.
We are finishing a well and are almost done with protecting a spring. Carrie, Tori, Kelsey and myself prayed for a 15 year old boy with malaria. He was unable to move his neck but after we prayed for him he could move his neck freely and was also able to run again.
Shortly after that, we ran into a large group of men that had been traveling from Tanzania. They were hunting for their stolen cows and hadn’t had anything to eat in a long time so we gave them a whole lot of bananas!
Today Carrie, Kelsey and Tori taught on hygiene at the well. Afterwards we prayed for the “mamas” and the children there. People were healed from headaches, back aches, digestive issues, and chest pains!!
Each night we go to bed excited for the next day because each day has only gotten better and better!
Kwaheri Rafiki!!

Coming back to Nairobi was a bit of a culture shock for all of us. I think we just weren’t prepared for how different they city is from the country. The best way I can relate it to you is by asking you to imagine going from the little house on the prarie to living in Chicago….crazy…I know! However, after about a day or two we had adjusted.
We hit the ground running when we got here by going directly to a prayer meeting on the church property. Kenya is in a very unique and crucial time right now of trying to formulate a new constitution and governmental structure. The past few days we have been able to meet with church leaders to come along side them in prayer, prophesy encouragement to them, and help to cover them. These leaders had been given 11 slots to present their position before a committee that is re-writing the Kenyan Constitution … “Rev.” Stephen (one of the few times he actually uses this title) went with Pastor Ibrahim (our host) to cover him with prayer and assist. He would have to tell you the specifics of the stories, but I do know that he made connections with key leaders not only in the church but also the head of the Islamic committee here.
Since being here, we have been able to pray for and prophesy to more people than I could begin to tell you…literally hundreds of people. It’s been amazing! Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning we were given the opportunity to demonstrate and train in the prophetic at Pastor Ibrahim’s church with church leaders and christians from around the city. This church is really just a tent on a large piece of property that slopes into a nice hill. On Saturday morning we saw an increase in the power of God. Kenyans that earlier in the week did not understand prophecy were prophesying to each other for the first time. For many church leaders the practice of prophecy was de-mystefied.
Along with the prophetic training, we have been doing hillside evangelism in the afternoons. The church has a sound system set up on the top of the hill where we would share the gospel and invites anyone listening to come receive ministry. We were able to call out words of knowledge and, again, saw more healings than I can tell you. We saw multiple people delivered from witchcraft, chronic headaches, eyes opened, back pain healed, feet and ankles, and so many more
We leave tomorrow….it’s a strange feeling. We are excited to come home, but we are also sad to be leaving. Before going we are going to head to the slums and do ministry with about fifty children in a school. Looking forward to finishing strong….

Alright, so, there is lots to tell. I am not sure I can fit it all in this blog, but I will do my best to give you all a good overview….
When I last left you, we were looking forward to doing ministry as the whole team in the villages. Well, I can say that that experience was a lot of fun! We began the ministry by teaching and acting out the story of David and Goliath for about 30 or 40 children. Cookson got on Stephen’s shoulders to be the giant and a little boy from the crowd got to play David and kill the giant. They loved it! Harvey shared with the kids about friendship with God and it led into a couple hours of ministry to not only the children, but also the adults in the area. Many people had come out by this time. That day we saw more healings than I could possibly tell you, but one of the most memorable was that of a man who had been deaf and mute. By the time we finished praying he could hear and was beginning to utter words like “jesus”, “jambo” (hello), “asante” (thank you), etc. It was pretty incredible to see the Lord meet people exactly where they were at and provide the healing that they needed.
The next day we went to the Masai Mara (safari land). We saw many animals including lions, buffalo, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeest, elephants, ostriches, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, giraffes, topi antelope, vultures, hawks, warthogs, baboons, unicorns, hyenas, gazelles, stalks, baby bush bugs, water bucks etc …
The stories I could tell you from this little adventure would make you wish you were here with us…..The high points: watching two male lions stalk a buffalo and then back off when challenged by this buffalo, escaping moments before being charged by the enormous male elephant, and taking an adventure through the woods to come across about 100 hippos on the beach. Don’t worry parents…I kid you not when I say that we were perfectly safe….You all know you raised adventure seeking children, and we certainly got our fill of that! This day was a much needed day.
The next day we had to say our goodbyes to all those we have grown to love in Kehancha. It was hard (and I mean really hard!), but it was time. Before leaving we stopped by a school to see some of the children. Cookson decided to give them a football he had brought. To find out that this was literally the only toy these children had to play with shouldn’t have surprised me, but it did. There is such a need here that my eyes are being opened to more and more each day.
Kehancha has a very special place in all of our hearts…most of us are already trying to plan our return…The next blog will have stories from Nairobi….

Hello again from Kenya!
Man, there are a lot of stories and details to share from this place! Everyday has held something incredible and miraculous.
Since I last updated, Stephen and Josh have arrived in Kenya. They hit the ground ready to jump in, and it has been incredibly refreshing to have them here. We are all greatly looking forward to seeing Africa 2 when they arrive! There is just something about familiar faces…
Remember the woman I told you about who had her eyesight restored? Well, if there had been any doubt, her son went out of his way to contact our interpreter the next day to let him know that his mom could still see. She had been to many doctors, but none of them had been able to help. Through our hands, God completely set her free!
Since that day we have seen more healing than I could possibly tell you. Yesterday we taught at a spring the men are working on, and David led about twenty children to the Lord. After that we did a lesson with the Mammas (the women) and saw five confirmed healings: two backs, one shoulder and neck, one eyes, and one young girl who had broken her hip and still had pain. All were completely healed. These women immediately want to be your friends and they took me with them to gather rocks, taught me more phrases in their language, and taught me how to wrap a scarf and carry a bucket of rocks on my head. We all have so much to learn from one another!
This morning we got to minister at Zao Water’s first church plant. The church is less than a year old and is located on what was (just a year ago) a battle field between two clans. Since ZAO has protected a spring in that area, these two clans had to come to peace and are now fellowshipping in church. The government has given up on this area, but God had a better plan. The people here were hungry and ready for the message that John shared. Afterwards we did a time of ministry during which there were somewhere between 25-30 confirmed healings. All together (including children) there were about 50 people in the service. This church building is nothing more than walls made of mud and logs and benches made of two logs tied together. It didn’t matter. This place was full of life and hope. The healings included: multiple opening of ears, multiple headaches, multiple stomach aches, one girl with paralysis, deliverance from witchcraft, and many many more.
Thank you all for your prayers! Tomorrow we will be doing outreach in multiple villages by going house to house. We are believing for many more miracles. I will, hopefully, report again soon!
Until next time….
Jenna
